As the #1 seller of office buildings in Orange County, we’re honored to have some special relationships with some great people, including those in the wine industry. These wineries all have a connection to this unique place we’re privileged to call home: Orange County. Please click on the logos below to be connected to each winery’s website.

Peter & Linda Snowden once lived on Rockledge Terrace in Laguna Beach. Their Napa vineyard, next door to Joseph Phelps, has very rocky soil and is 500’ above the valley floor, so the name Rockledge reflects both their site and their ties to Laguna. They bought the property in 1988 when it was totally unimproved with no vineyard, no access road, no power, no water. After commuting from Laguna, they moved there full time in 1999. In fact, Steve visited them and sat atop the ‘rock ledge’ (actually their beautiful hillside deck) and sipped some yet-to-be released wines. Their current release, the 2005 The Rocks cab, received a Parker 92.

Long-time Orange County residents, Don & Deedee Sodaro, founded Sodaro Estate Winery in 1998. Starting with a premier terroir in Napa Valley, the winery was created from the ground up by bringing together some of the most experienced and trusted minds in wine making and vineyard management. Their boutique winery concentrates on limited-production Cabernet blends from 100% Estate grown, hand-picked fruit. In addition to his winery, Don is a philanthropist, Chapman University's Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and is a great guy.

The word Levendi is Greek for “Celebrate Life.” This Napa winery was founded by Jim and David Gianulias and Todd Rustman, all Orange County residents. In fact, David was born at Hoag Hospital and his father, Jim, moved to Newport Beach after graduating from Cal Berkeley and his service in the Marines. Jim’s father was a farmer and was making table wine in the 1920's, as winemaking has been a tradition in the Greek family for centuries. Todd is a good friend and is members with Steve in a group of politically active young professionals.

Specializing in Rhone varietals, Barrel 27 is a partnership between LA/OC native McPrice Myers (McPrice Myers Wine Company), Russell From (Herman Story Wines) and OC-born Jason Carter. With consistently good press from Robert Parker, Wine Spectator, etc., Barrel 27 has built a loyal following that continues to grow with their new Paso Robles tasting room. Additionally, McPrice and Russell are winemakers of The Four, a single-vineyard Napa cab whose inaugural 2006 just received a 93 from Spectator. The Four is owned by four OC residents: Richard Padgett, David Graves, David Fleming, and Jason Carter. Jason was gracious enough to emcee one of The Economos Group’s wine tasting events and was even able to get some real estate guys to understand the wine-making process.

With offices here in South Orange County, Jim Borsack and Duffy Keys founded B Cellars in 2003. The letter ‘B’ and the degree symbol in their logo refer to ‘brix,’ a wine term that references the measurement of a grape’s optimal sugar level at harvest time. Apparently, they’ve figured out their ‘brix’ as their Blend 23 (a white) has been served in the White House (yes, the real one in Washington, D.C.)! Their winery takes a different approach than focusing on an estate or single-varietal vineyard. Jim and Duffy see the entire Napa appellation as their terrior.
